The Stephenville Lightning are accepting applications for the position of equipment manager ahead of the 2026–27 senior hockey season.

The equipment manager will work alongside the team’s assistant equipment manager and play an important role in keeping the Lightning organized throughout practices, home games and road trips.

Responsibilities will include preparing pucks and water bottles, setting up the dressing room with jerseys, pants and socks, and collecting team apparel immediately following games. The successful applicant will also be responsible for washing jerseys, reporting damaged sticks and gathering broken equipment.

Because the position includes both home and away responsibilities, applicants must be willing and available to travel out of town with the team.

The Lightning are looking for someone dependable, organized and capable of working closely with other members of the hockey operations staff. Experience sharpening skates or replacing visors would be considered an asset, though it is not listed as a requirement.

Applicants must be at least 19 years old and fully committed to carrying out the responsibilities of the position throughout the season.

Before beginning the role, the successful applicant will be required to sign a code of conduct and provide a completed vulnerable sector check.

Those seriously interested in joining the Stephenville Lightning organization are asked to contact the team at seniorhockey23@hotmail.com.
